A considered starting point for the flooring system that comes next.

THE FINISH, EXPLAINED
Surface preparation addresses existing materials and the condition of the concrete before a new finish is installed. The required preparation depends on what is on the slab, what is going over it, and the requirements of the next flooring system.
Renovation projects, coating replacements, tenant improvements, and floors being prepared for another finish or flooring contractor.
FROM FIRST LOOK TO FINISHED FLOOR
Every floor starts with a conversation about the slab, the space, and your expectations.
Identify the existing materials and the requirements of the planned flooring system.
Carry out the agreed mechanical preparation and removal scope.
Confirm the prepared area and any remaining conditions that require attention.
BEFORE WE START
Surface preparation does not automatically correct major slab elevation issues or structural problems. Suspect hazardous materials need appropriate identification and handling before ordinary removal work begins. Photos are finish references, not demonstrations of the preparation process.
