THE FINISH, EXPLAINED
Grind-and-seal combines mechanical surface preparation with an applied sealer. Unlike a mechanically polished floor, its finished appearance and surface performance depend in part on that sealer. It can be worth considering when you want the visual character of concrete with a different finishing approach.
Residential and commercial interiors where the client wants an exposed-concrete appearance and an applied sealer is suitable.
FROM FIRST LOOK TO FINISHED FLOOR
Every floor starts with a conversation about the slab, the space, and your expectations.
Review the slab, existing materials, intended use, and finish expectations.
Grind and address agreed surface imperfections to prepare for the chosen sealer.
Apply the specified finish and confirm cure time and care requirements.
BEFORE WE START
Grind-and-seal and polished concrete are different systems. Price, appearance, traction, maintenance, and suitability depend on the floor and chosen products; neither is automatically the better choice for every room.
